We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in barbering techniques and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. As a Barber, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality haircuts, shaves, and grooming services while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the salon. Your ability to communicate effectively with clients and provide personalized recommendations will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
Perform a variety of barbering services including haircuts, shaves, and beard trims.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and tools.
Engage with clients to understand their grooming needs and preferences.
Provide expert advice on hair care products and services.
Upsell additional services or retail products to enhance client experience.
Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments using MINDBODY software.
Mentor junior staff or apprentices in barbering techniques as needed.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations.
Proven experience in barbering with a strong portfolio of work.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
Knowledge of retail sales techniques and experience in upselling products.
Familiarity with MINDBODY or similar appointment management software is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing quality service.
Experience in makeup application is a plus but not required.
Previous experience in store management or mentoring roles is advantageous.
