Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist/Barber to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology and possess a flair for creativity in hair design. As a Hair Stylist/Barber, you will provide exceptional hair services to clients while ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Your expertise in various styling techniques and commitment to client satisfaction will be essential in building lasting relationships with our clientele.
Duties
Provide a range of hair services, including cutting, coloring, and styling, tailored to each client’s preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
Utilize MINDBODY software for appointment scheduling and client management.
Assist with front desk operations, including greeting clients and managing retail transactions.
Mentor junior stylists and assist in training new team members on best practices.
Demonstrate knowledge of retail math to effectively manage product sales and inventory.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, techniques, and products to provide informed recommendations to clients.
Engage in store management tasks as needed, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
Valid cosmetology license required.
Proficiency in straight razor techniques is preferred.
Experience with eyelash extensions is a plus.
Strong understanding of sanitation practicesin the beauty industry.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards clients.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Previous experience with MINDBODY or similar scheduling software is advantageous.
