Barber Contractors are self-employed professionals who cut, style, and groom hair for clients. They rent a booth within topshelf barbershop to offer their services. The job involves providing traditional and modern haircuts, beard grooming, and shaving services to clients of all ages and genders.
Responsibilities:
Provide grooming and hairstyling services to clients according to their preferences and requests
Consult with clients to determine their likes, dislikes, and styling needs
Cut and trim hair using scissors or clippers to the desired length and shape
Shave and trim beards and mustaches to the desired shape and style
Recommend hair and skin care products to enhance clients’ appearance and maintain healthy hair and skin
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and sanitize tools and equipment after each use
Attend workshops and training sessions to stay updated on current trends and techniques in the industry
Manage scheduling, payments, and inventory needed for the operation of their business.
Requirements:
Must have a barber’s license and be certified by the state board
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
Good knowledge of haircutting techniques and styling trends for different hair types and length
Must have a creative and artistic eye to personalize the customer experience
Knowledge of traditional and modern shaving techniques is an advantage
Must be self-motivated and capable of managing their own business
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Salary:
Barber Contractors are typically paid by their clients and pay rent to the barbershop

Pay: Up to $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
