Valery Joseph is synonymous with luxury haircare with salon locations in New York City, Bridgehampton, and Miami. We are looking for a full-time Color Assistant to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is an aspiring hairstylist or colorist who has a VALID COSMETOLOGY LICENSE and comes with salon experience, especially in color formulations, keratin treatments and blowouts. You must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be a strong team player. You must be flexible to perform all other salon tasks as required.
All applicants must have a valid cosmetology license. Please do not apply if you do not have a valid license.

Salon Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
Shampoo hair
Prepare and mix color formulas
Apply color as needed
Prepare hair stylist stations
Blowdry as requested
Sweep floors
Laundry
Stock towels, products, and retail inventory
Provide other assistance as necessary
Salon Assistant Requirements and Qualifications
Completion of a cosmetology school program
Cosmetology license strongly preferred (or have a temporary license)
Professional appearance
Customer service skills
Flexible schedule
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
