Job Summary:
Responsible for using scissors, clippers, and straight razors to trim, cut, shave, or shape hair in a barbershop setting. Provides consultation to client, selects equipment, cuts hair, styles, and then blow-dries and finishes hair.
Job requirements:
Meet Idaho State Alcohol Service and Sale Requirements. (19+)
Possess and maintain a valid Idaho Barber and/or Cosmetologist license, or a valid license from another State with the ability to gain and maintain reciprocity in the State of Idaho by the time of hire.
Possess a valid drivers license.
Possess a valid checking account for direct deposit.
Ability and willingness to take and pass all necessary certification and training in relation to the service and sale of alcoholic beverages in the State of Idaho.
Willingness and ability to pass a background screening.
Willingness and ability to maintain a drug and violence free workplace at all times during employment with Provisions Barbering.
Willingness and ability to adhere to all policies and of Provisions Barbering.
Willingness and ability to follow instructions, guidance, and directions of Provisions Barbering supervisory staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited too:
Greeting and providing customers with outstanding customer service.
Prepare, pour and Serve a verity of beverages, including alcohol.
Cut, trim, and shape hair into desired style
Utilize clippers, combs, brushes, scissors, to style and cut hair.
Apply lather using a thick brush chin, cheeks, and neck.
Use razor to shave beard or mustache.
Shape hair on temple and neck.
Perform consultation to get the client’s opinion on desired hairstyle.
Apply product such as mousse or serum to hair.
Cut and style hair.
Apply lotion after shaving.
Massage face, neck, or scalp.
Apply hot towels on face to open pores.
Use blow dryer to dry hair.
Give client mirror to check haircut / style.
Use scissors to correct stray hair or sides that appear longer.
Cut bangs.
Shave sideburns or back or neck.
Sweep up hair around station.
Stock shelves with products.
Check out patrons.
Promote services using coupons and cards.
Sell products, merchandise, hygiene, and cosmetic supplies.
Clean, maintain, and stock shop equipment, facility, lounge/bar area, employee break room, and restroom.
