We are seeking a skilled and passionate Barber/Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cosmetology/ barbering and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role involves not only delivering high-quality haircuts and styling but also engaging with clients to understand their needs and preferences. As a Barber/Stylist, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages client loyalty and satisfaction.
Duties
Provide professional haircuts, styling, and grooming services to clients, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene.
Consult with clients to determine their desired hairstyles and recommend appropriate services.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, coloring, and treatments to offer clients innovative options.
Perform additional services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and straight razor shaves as needed.
Maintain an organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are clean and sanitized.
Assist in retail sales by promoting hair care products and other services offered at the salon.
Mentor junior stylists or interns by sharing expertise and techniques to enhance their skills.
Utilize MINDBODY or similar scheduling software for appointment management and client tracking.
Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on special projects or events.
Skills
Proven experience in customer service within the beauty industry.
Strong knowledge of cosmetology practices, including cutting and styling techniques.
Experience with straight razor shaving techniques is an asset.
Ability to mentor others effectively, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Familiarity with MINDBODY or similar salon management software is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
A creative mindset with an eye for detail to deliver personalized styles that enhance client satisfaction.

Pay: $120.00 – $500.00 per day

10 hour shift
