The Beauty Counter Manager leads a branded counter within the Nordstrom Beauty Department, delivering personalized makeup and skincare experiences while driving sales. The manager partners with vendors and uses in-store and digital tools to meet business goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products to meet customer beauty goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools including text and social media
- Schedule and execute vendor events and promotions and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Manage sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open Nordstrom Rewards accounts to build customer loyalty
- Coach and collaborate with team members to create an inclusive, customer-ready environment
- Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
Requirements
- Passion for beauty trends, makeup application, and skincare with strong customer service skills
- Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns proactively, and contribute to a positive team culture
- Proven drive to achieve sales goals and comfort working in a commissioned sales environment
- Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through; flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- Physical ability to stand and move continuously for 6-8 hours, with frequent bending, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
