Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and creative Braider to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hair styling and an eye for detail, specializing in various braiding techniques. As a Braider, you will provide exceptional hair braiding services while ensuring clients feel welcomed and valued in our salon environment.
Duties
Perform a variety of braiding styles and techniques to meet client preferences.
Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and provide professional recommendations.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to salon hygiene standards.
Assist with front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries.
Promote salon products and services through effective retail sales techniques.
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment management and client records.
Mentor junior staff or interns in braiding techniques and salon best practices.
Stay updated on the latest trends in hair braiding, extensions, and styling.
Skills
Proficiency in barbering techniques is a plus.
Experience with retail sales and understanding of retail math to effectively promote products.
Familiarity with salon management software.
Ability to apply makeup is an added advantage.
Knowledge of hair extensions and threading techniques is desirable.
Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple appointments efficiently.
