Brand Manager, Altra Running
Years of Related Professional Experience:
- 5–8 years of experience in brand (marketing & commercial) management: marketing, account management, trade marketing, retail marketing, or consumer activation within fashion, sports, running, lifestyle, or consumer goods.
- Proven experience developing and executing seasonal marketing plans, product launches, brand campaigns, and retail activations across wholesale and/or DTC channels.
- Experience translating brand strategy into market-relevant initiatives that drive awareness, consumer engagement, sell-out, and brand heat.
- Strong background managing marketing calendars, campaign execution, budgets, agencies, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience working with wholesale accounts, commercial calendars, sell-out initiatives, assortment discussions, or partner marketing plans.
- Preferred: exposure to retail planning, forecasting, sell-through analysis, OTB, margin, or inventory management to support business decisions.
Skills:
- Brand marketing & local execution: Ability to translate brand direction into relevant market initiatives, seasonal campaigns, consumer moments, and retail activations.
- Trade / partner marketing: Experience developing retailer-focused marketing plans, including co-op initiatives, in-store activations, digital placements, seasonal events, and visibility programs.
- Consumer & market understanding: Strong ability to identify consumer insights, running/lifestyle trends, competitor activity, and local opportunities to strengthen brand relevance.
- Campaign & project management: Ability to manage timelines, budgets, agencies, assets, vendors, stakeholders, and execution details across multiple marketing initiatives.
- Retail and wholesale activation: Strong understanding of how to bring brand campaigns to life at point of sale, through visual visibility, product storytelling, promoter teams, and account-level activations.
- Ability to understand sales performance, sell-out, margin, inventory, and account priorities to ensure marketing plans also support business growth.
- Ability to partner closely with Sales, Merchandising, eCommerce, VM, PR, Finance, Supply, and regional/global teams to deliver aligned execution.
- Analytical capability: Ability to track campaign performance, sell-out impact, traffic, engagement, conversion, visibility, and key learnings to optimize future plans.
- Wholesale account exposure: Understanding of wholesale business models, retailer dynamics, joint business planning, assortment conversations, and sell-out drivers.
- Preferred: retail math / planning knowledge: Familiarity with forecasting, OTB, sell-through, stock cover, replenishment, margin, and P&L indicators.
Additional Comments:
- Wholesale or key account exposure preferred, especially with department stores, specialty retail, or premium/lifestyle accounts.
- Experience with El Palacio de Hierro strongly preferred.
- Business-level English.
- Advanced Excel preferred, especially for tracking sell-out, campaign performance, forecasts, and business KPIs.
- Experience managing agencies, vendors, promoters, retail activations, or brand events preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the annual and seasonal marketing calendar aligned with Altra’s brand priorities, product launches, commercial goals, and key consumer moments.
- Lead local brand marketing initiatives that build awareness, consumer engagement, and market relevance within the running and lifestyle communities.
- Coordinate integrated campaigns across retail, wholesale, digital, PR, events, community, and partner channels to ensure consistent brand storytelling.
- Develop brand-right activation plans, including in-store visibility, digital placements, seasonal events, co-op initiatives, and sell-out support.
- Support product launches through storytelling, asset coordination, retail execution, training support, consumer activations, and post-launch performance tracking.
- Align marketing initiatives with account priorities, assortment strategies, product stories, and seasonal commercial opportunities.
- Monitor campaign performance and business impact through marketing and commercial KPIs such as traffic, engagement, visibility, sell-out, conversion, margin, and ROI.
- Identify consumer insights, market trends, running community opportunities, and competitor activity to inform local marketing plans and activations.
- In charge of wholesale business reviews, seasonal previews, account presentations, forecasting conversations, and sell-out analysis when needed.
