Job DescriptionAs a Business Controller within our Global Buying office, you generate sustainable sales growth and profitability for your departments both short- and long term through commercial analysis, action and leadership. In this role you will drive the goals through coaching and guiding the team through controlling aspects.

What you will do:

Setting vision and strategy together with the Head of Buying for your category.

Planning sales goals, buying budgets and retail price levels.

Regularly analyse sales, seek opportunities and initiate actions together with the team.

Follow up on goals, planning and actions with the buying team.

Be a vital part and a strong informal leader of the section.

Develop and implement strong buying methods and decision-making models.

Educate buyers and buying assistants in methods, salesmanship, Excel and general tools.

Communicate and advice your team with concise analyses and financial insights.

In addition to our values for this role we are also looking for:

Previous experience working in a data driven role such as analyst, merchandising, planning or similar.

Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office – Excel essential including knowledge of advanced formulas such as v-lookup and working with pivot tables

Result focused with excellent business sense.

Excellent communicator with confident presentation skills

A genuine interest in the fashion industry and working in a dynamic, creative environment

Strong influencing skills and connection with COS core values

A background within business, finance or economics would be beneficial
