Our production/ product team is ever so busy and we are now looking for a savvy and energetic BUYER ASSISTANT / MERCHANDISER to join at our head quarter, subject to immediate joining.
In this role, you love the product as much as the process and are well versed with how products are made. Your attention to detail is outstanding and you rate yourself as the perfect team member and have the ability to fit into the diversified, and from time to time, also unpredictable work tasks including production follow up trips. Technical and fitting understanding is an added advantage.
Work Description:
Handling all proto samples, SMS and purchase orders, including costing and managing all information through excel order sheets (Order tracker, Supplier/ Manufacturer tracker, Order confirmation, Packing lists, Payments) etc
Assisting Buyer / Manager in all admin work around collections
Business travel to India to visit agents and factories to get the right samples and products
Handling price quotations
Sample and fit log updates
Ensuring all products within each categories are accurately described on the website and have all the details required
Ensure that all data entry is completed in line with the buying critical path
Payments and supplier management
Preps for photo shoot and assisting at photo shoots
Requirements:
Should have previous working experience from clothing buying side, min 2-3 years. Previous merchandiser experience from factory is an added plus point.
Already living in Dubai
Excellent English
Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and Power Point
Ability to travel to India regularly
Ability to handle high work pressure at times
Be familiar with sample processes and fit logs
Open mindset to do whatever work it takes to timely meet deadlines and targets
Excellent time management and planning skills
