Michelle Farmer is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buying and Operations Assistant to support our buying, inventory, and logistics operations at our West Palm Beach headquarters.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced role within a growing luxury fashion brand. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, technologically proficient (especially in Shopify), and able to multitask while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

About Michelle Farmer Michelle Farmer is a Made in the USA luxury women’s wear brand known for effortless sophistication, exceptional craftsmanship, and personalized client experience. Every piece is thoughtfully designed and produced in our West Palm Beach atelier.

Our collections include ready-to-wear, resort wear, evening wear, fine jewelry, home, and bespoke fashion. We currently operate boutiques in Palm Beach, The Boca Raton, Mizner Park, and Southampton, NY, with continued expansion planned.

Position Overview

The Buying and Operations Assistant plays a vital role in supporting daily operations across buying, logistics, inventory management, and general office administration. This position requires precision, accountability, and the ability to pivot as business needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities

Provide general administrative and operational support

Enter and manage purchase orders (POs)

Process, receive, and ship merchandise

Track and log all incoming and outgoing packages accurately

Inspect new merchandise to ensure quality standards are met

Match purchase orders, packing slips, and received goods

Tag and prepare merchandise for store floors

Process and track vendor returns (RTVs)

Run inventory reports and assist in maintaining proper stock levels

Update inventory in Shopify and QuickBooks POS

Fulfill and ship online orders accurately and on time

Assist with inventory counts across multiple locations

Help coordinate merchandise transfers between the atelier and retail stores

Support event preparation, trunk shows, and new store openings

Qualifications

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Proficiency In Shopify And POS Systems (QuickBooks Experience Preferred)

Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-moving environment

Background in fashion or luxury retail preferred

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Fluent in English and authorized to work in the U.S.
