2. About the Opportunity:

The Buying Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Buying and Merchandising teams by managing ecommerce operations related to product data, site merchandising, and vendor communications. This role contributes by optimizing workflows through AI-driven efficiencies and ensuring accurate, timely product launches and site updates.

3. Responsibilities:

• Manage product classification, taxonomy, and cross-categorization using AI-assisted tagging and attribution tools.

• Execute product data entry and bulk creation via PIM systems, spreadsheets, and AI tools.

• Collaborate with the imaging team on asset collection, uploading, and metadata management.

• Support site merchandising, navigation, and search optimization using performance data.

• Communicate with vendors regarding product information, image collection, content, and purchase order status.

• Generate ad-hoc sales reports and identify item opportunities.

• Propose process improvements and automations using AI and no-code tools.

• Maintain quality assurance on the live site and promptly flag errors or opportunities.

• Conduct competitive shopping, trend research, and assortment analysis with AI tools.

• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

• Foster a positive team environment.

4. Requirements:

• Strong relationship-building and collaborative skills with a positive attitude.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.

• Proficient organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

• Enthusiasm for fashion, retail, and ecommerce.

• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions.

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in ecommerce, buying, merchandising, or planning.

• Hands-on experience using AI tools in a work context, including prompt writing and output validation.

• A builder’s mindset focused on automation and scaling output.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
