Location: Dubai, UAE

Reporting to:Senior Buyer

Key responsibilities:

Manage the Purchase Order raising process and ensure that all orders are placed within the given timeline to meet intake deadlines

Work with the Logistics and Supply Chain team to ensure that all orders are received on time

Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments in the buying processes and new projects and activities

Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization

Identifying customer preferences, monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers

Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers

Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships

Visit the market to research products & study market trends. Use the market visits to also add more suppliers to the base.

Work with the content & merchandising teams to ensure the best visibility for the products procured.

Ensure all reconciliations are done within the planned time for smooth payments.

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a similar field

2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Highly detail oriented with proven strong business sense

Analytical, numerically astute with strong demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

Able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and achieve set targets.

Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the customer order fulfillment as well as profitability.

Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.

Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
