Drive the buy in Asia
Build an efficient and strong Footwear and Leather Goods assortment in Asia based on global offer and local needs in order to sustain the business growth, in terms of:
Assortment structure
Product selection
Product category mix
Price bucket mix
Product gap requests and alignment
Wholesale SMU review
Facilitate seasonal merchandising activities in each gate including Product Brief, Assortment Meeting, Drive The Assortment Meeting and each P launch
Brief Headquarter by reviewing the feedback from markets as well as studying the trend and behavior of competitors
Define Asia core offer with Central Team to ensure the mandatory assortment covering Brand vision and commercial needs
Facilitate market discussion on product functions and leverage any missing opportunities as a region
Work with Headquarters to adopt the in-store activity plan into a more Asia-oriented and commercially driven approach
Plan and drive strong collaboration with functional departments
Present the Sketch and seasonal strategies to the markets
Recommend and clusterize retail/ wholesale Footwear and Leather Goods assortment
System maintenance and sales tool creation to support selling activities at Asia workshops during DTA
Enhance Brand Premiumization
Optimize assortment commonality amongst markets to enhance brand consistency in the Region
Review product mix and retail price mix in product offer
Excel Market Performance
Recommend the buy of Asia markets
Analyze product assortments to ensure the mix is productive, effective and aligned with Brand expectations
Analyze seasonal sell out with Planning and provide buying recommendations to key markets to drive the buy
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field;
Minimum 5+ years of assortment planning experience in Fashion, FMCG, working in Retail, Licensees, Distributors, Franchises
An entrepreneurial attitude, comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast moving environment
Customer-oriented is key
Ability to problem solve and root cause analysis
Must be willing to be hands on, and roll up sleeves when necessary
Exceptional skills in collaboration, communication, and negotiation
Positive, competitive, confident and self-driven personality
Track record to work with diverse cultures is a plus
Retail buying experience is an advantage
Fluent English speaker. French and/or Asian languages a plus
For candidates with less experience would be considered as Assistant Buying Manager .
