Position Summary
We’re looking for a dependable and proactive Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our retail space. This person will serve as a key holder, ensure smooth day-to-day function, and help create a welcoming, organized, and mission-aligned experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and close the store independently
- Greet and assist customers with a high level of empathy and attunement
- Manage POS transactions and refunds via Ricochet
- Oversee consignment intake and inventory processes
- Keep the shop tidy, organized, and visually appealing
- Perform light cleaning and plant care as needed
- Coordinate with owner on scheduling, promotions, and restocks
- Maintain basic back-office tasks and logs
- Communicate customer feedback and issues promptly
Ideal Candidate
- Connection to the local community and very comfortable interacting with diverse children and families at all stages of parenthood
- Strong organization skills
- Confident working solo and taking initiative
- Warm, personable, and aligned with our values
- Previous retail, keyholder, or management experience preferred
- Familiar with Ricochet or other POS systems (or quick to learn)
- Passionate about sustainability, parenting, or community care
