Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Beautician/Barber functions as a working level Client Support Worker, assists with daily living activities at the person’s home, in a daytime non-residential facility or a residential facility. Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents.
Job Duties:
Provide services to individuals on all the units of the hospital
Provide haircuts, shaving services, and other grooming needs and communicating with appropriate staff to support functioning of a beautician services.
Maintain a schedule for all units
Order supplies/equipment necessary for grooming
Preferred Qualifications:
Must have a current Cosmetology License. Experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities or Mental Health issues/or in a psychiatric setting.

Additional Information – Selected applicant must meet the following standards:

**High School and College Degrees Must Be From an Accredited Institution**
Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR One year of experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human services setting OR One year of experience at the lower level Client Support Worker 1 (SSS010) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver’s license.
