The Color Manager develops and executes the color process by evaluating color, managing the library and problem-solving color issues for the brands.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain all color processes
• Direct and update color certification programs
• Research and present trend and color stories
• Deliver timely lab dip and 1st bulk color approvals
• Promptly file all lab dips & bulk systematically
• Responsible for maintaining and managing the Color Library
• Collaborate with design on color matching market samples
• Partner with buyers & design on incoming color issues
• Create digital color palettes in PLM
• Order color standards & maintain the color inventory
• Lead & orchestrate special projects to support strategic color initiatives

Core Competencies & Accomplishments:

• 4-year College degree preferred.
• 7+ years (post-graduation) related experience in color evaluation and development
• Ability to pass the Munsell Hue color test to determine visual color acuity
• Extensive knowledge of color science, ability to evaluate results and perform analysis of the colorimetric data, reflectance curves and dye recipes
• Experience using color QC software and spectrophotometer
• Excellent organizational, communication and decision-making skills
• High sense of urgency and initiative
• Proven experience building working relationships with cross-functional teams
• Strong reporting and analytical skills
• Computer proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Flex PLM experience is highly preferred

Pay Range

USD $89,100.00 – USD $162,000.00 /Yr.
