Role Description The Communications Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, supporting day-to-day public relations and communications activities for ZOÏ Agency’s clients. This role involves drafting and editing press materials, coordinating media outreach, and supporting the development and execution of strategic communication plans. The Communications Coordinator will monitor media coverage, maintain contact lists and editorial calendars, and assist with reporting on campaign results. Responsibilities also include collaborating with team members on client meetings, preparing presentation materials, and supporting event-related communications and logistics. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Strong written communication skills, including experience with Writing and Press Releases.
- Demonstrated ability in Communication and Strategic Communications, with an understanding of brand storytelling.
- Experience in Media Relations, including pitching to journalists and maintaining media contact lists.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency with standard office and communication tools (e.g., email, presentation software, shared documents); familiarity with PR or media monitoring platforms is an asset.
- Knowledge of or interest in fashion, beauty, travel, and lifestyle industries is beneficial.
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Toronto, ON, with a diverse team and maintain professional relationships with clients and media contacts.
