Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sourcing & Merchandising Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing fabrics and materials essential for our product offerings, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and establish relationships with suppliers and manufacturers of fabrics, materials & Bags suitable for our product range.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost-effective procurement.
Coordinate with design and production teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and innovations.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery times, and customer feedback.
Manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of materials to support production schedules.
Monitor and analyze fabric and material costs to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
Collaborate with the team to develop product assortments that align with market demands and brand strategy.
Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier information.
Qualifications:
Proven experience 5 years in sourcing and merchandising within the apparel or fashion industry, specifically with fabrics and materials.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
