Glitter & Fade Kid’s Salon and Social Suite is the NEW Kid’s Salon in the Greater Lansing area and we are already rapidly growing in customer count, so we want to be ready!
We are seeking an energetic, bubbly, Cosmetologist and/or Barber who LOVES kids, and has extreme patience with them! We are currently hiring for PART-TIME (STARTING OUT WORKING MORNINGS OR AFTERNOONS), this will be commission pay, and you keep your tips.

REQUIREMENTS!
*MUST BE A LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST AND/OR BARBER – with a CURRENT and up to date license, you must show at the time of your interview.
*MUST HAVE MORE THAN 2 FLUENT YEARS EXPERIENCE CUTTING HAIR and using files/ cuticle pushers ON ADULTS AND KIDS. Kids Move a lot! You must be fluent in safe movements and motions with your cutting/manicuring tools.
*MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A SHORTENED SHIFT ON SATURDAYS. (WE ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED TUESDAY’S & SUNDAY’S!)
*RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION. (BUS ROUTE DOES RUN BY BUILDING). Not guaranteeing you’ll make the right bus time, must not be late for work!
*MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 40#, BEND FORWARD/SIDE TO SIDE/ STAND FOR 3 TO 4 HOURS AT A TIME, SIT ON BREAK!
*GREET THE LITTLE ONES WHEN THEY WALK THRU THE DOOR, while keeping in mind we do have many who have sensory sensitivities so must be able to meet the little ones on their levels.
*Must be willing to market yourself as well to your friends and family with children!
NOTE: THIS SALON IS FOR KIDS AGES 0 TO 13, AND THEIR PARENTS. WE DO NOT SERVICE TO JUST ANY ADULT! WE ARE A CLEAN, KIDS SAFE ENVIRONMENT! OUR FOCUS IS ON THE KIDS AND THEIR FAMILIES! COMFORT FOR OUR KIDS COMES FIRST! WE ALSO SPECIALIZE IN OLDER CHILDREN WHETHER ON THE SPECTRUM OR ANY/ALL DISABILITIES. WE JUST DO NOT TAKE CLIENTS WHO ARE NOT FRIENDS AND/OR FAMILY OF OUR EMPLOYEES OR WHO DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN THEY BRING TO THE SALON! Our main focus and specialization is with Children, as there are several salons in the Greater Lansing area that specialize in services for adults. As the ONLY Kid’s Salon and Social Suite in the Greater Lansing area, we want to be able to continue to put our main focus into the kids who presently come to see us, and all of the future kids who will come see us. We want to make sure we’re providing a fun and safe environment for our kids, so they will come back feeling safe and secure every time.
