Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly creative and strategic individual to lead all trend forecasting, design direction, and merchandising strategy for Beauty/Spa, and Travel Accessories division. This role is critical in driving innovation, ensuring brand alignment, and delivering exceptional product assortments that resonate with our customers and meet financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Trend Forecasting & Design Direction:
Lead all trend forecasting efforts to identify macro and micro trends in fashion, beauty, and travel accessories.
Create and distribute detailed reports and mood boards for buyers, merchandisers, and the internal design team to guide product development.
Serve as an inspirational visionary, defining brand image and DNA through seasonal color, print, and material direction.
Merchandising Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement a cohesive merchandising strategy that aligns with financial targets and delivers a seamless customer experience.
Identify product opportunities by analyzing the competitive landscape and bringing innovative ideas to the design team.
Direct and refine merchandise assortments to meet customer needs while aligning with overall department strategy to drive earnings growth.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
Build strong cross-functional relationships with Design and Sales teams to ensure seamless product execution and alignment on brand direction.
Provide constructive feedback to the design team to ensure products are trend-right, brand-appropriate, and sales-driven.
Inspire the creative team with clear vision and innovative ideas that align with market trends and consumer demands.
Product Assortments & Investment Strategy:
Proactively lead the creation of product assortments and investment strategies to maximize sales and profitability for the division.
Balance creative vision with financial objectives to ensure successful product launches and category growth.
Project Management:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to shifting priorities and ensuring all deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in trend forecasting, merchandising, and product development, particularly in beauty, fashion, and travel categories.
Strong creative vision with the ability to identify and interpret trends and translate them into actionable strategies.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaboration skills to effectively align with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance creativity and financial objectives.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Salary $120,000-$160,000
