Creative Director / Visual Brand Lead Jobs in Jamaica at Pavilion Entertainment

Title: Creative Director / Visual Brand Lead

Company: Pavilion Entertainment

Location: Jamaica

Location

  • Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago — hybrid schedule preferred

Role Summary

The Creative Director / Visual Brand Lead is responsible for elevating the visual standard of Pavilion across every audience-facing touchpoint. This includes premium key art, social graphics, digital marketing assets, email creative, YouTube thumbnails, partner campaign materials, sponsorship graphics, and design support for third-party partner accounts.

This is a hands-on creative leadership role. You will use AI tools, design software, and strong creative judgment to improve the quality, consistency, and commercial appeal of Pavilion’s visuals. The goal is to make every title, campaign, and partner execution feel premium, intentional, and unmistakably Pavilion.

You will not simply “make graphics.” You will build and enforce a visual system that helps audiences discover content, helps partners trust the brand, and helps Pavilion convert attention into viewing, subscriptions, sponsorship value, and distribution revenue.

Core ResponsibilitiesKey Art & Title Packaging

  • Create, improve, and standardize key art for Pavilion+ originals, acquired titles, and third-party distribution titles.
  • Use AI tools and traditional design methods to upgrade weak or incomplete artwork while preserving accuracy, rights compliance, and brand integrity.
  • Develop multiple key art formats for each title, including hero art, poster art, thumbnails, horizontal banners, vertical mobile tiles, YouTube thumbnails, and partner-delivery assets.
  • Create visual treatments that make older or lower-budget titles feel more premium without misleading audiences about the content.
  • Establish repeatable key art templates and quality standards so the catalogue feels curated rather than random.

Visual Brand System

  • Define and maintain Pavilion’s visual language across social media, digital marketing, email, pitch decks, sponsor materials, distribution sell sheets, and partner executions.
  • Build brand guidelines covering typography, colour usage, image treatment, layouts, logo usage, motion principles, and platform-specific design rules.
  • Ensure Pavilion+ has a consistent consumer-facing look while allowing each title to retain its own identity.
  • Create templates for recurring needs such as new-title announcements, “watch now” posts, carousel graphics, episode drops, talent highlights, sponsor posts, partner promotions, and email headers.
  • Maintain a design library that allows the Social Media Manager, Marketing Manager, Editor, and external partners to move faster without compromising quality.

AI-Assisted Creative Workflow

  • Use AI tools to generate, improve, extend, upscale, clean, or composite visual assets where appropriate.
  • Build prompt libraries and repeatable workflows for key art enhancement, background generation, image extension, moodboards, campaign concepting, and style exploration.
  • Know when AI is useful and when it creates unacceptable creative, legal, or quality risks.
  • Ensure AI-assisted outputs are reviewed carefully for likeness issues, visual artifacts, incorrect text, misleading representations, or rights concerns.
  • Train internal team members on safe, effective AI-assisted design workflows.

Social, Email & Digital Marketing Creative

  • Work with the Social Media Manager and Video Editor to create platform-native visual assets that improve click-through, watch starts, saves, shares, and subscriptions.
  • Design thumbnails and graphics for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
  • Create custom email graphics that align with campaign copy, seasonal pushes, title launches, and automated email flows.
  • Partner with the Senior Marketing Manager on single-title campaign creative, including visual direction, launch assets, co-marketing toolkits, and partner handoff materials.
  • Adapt designs across digital formats without losing clarity, hierarchy, or impact.

Partner, Sponsor & Distribution Support

  • Create polished graphic assets for third-party partner accounts, including streaming-service clients supported through Pavilion Services.
  • Develop co-branded assets for sponsors, distributors, broadcasters, telcos, AVOD/FAST partners, and platform campaigns.
  • Ensure partner-facing graphics meet both Pavilion’s standards and the partner’s technical or brand requirements.
  • Support Pavilion Distribution with premium-looking title sell sheets, platform banners, metadata artwork, and catalogue presentation assets.
  • Create sponsor recap visuals and campaign case-study materials when needed.

Quality Control & Creative Governance

  • Review all major outgoing graphics before release to ensure visual quality, brand alignment, spelling accuracy, correct specs, and rights compliance.
  • Maintain an asset approval workflow so rushed creative does not damage the brand.
  • Organize source files, exports, AI prompts, references, and final deliverables using clear naming conventions.
  • Keep a central creative asset library that is easy for the team to search and reuse.
  • Contribute to creative post-mortems by identifying which visuals performed best and why.

Core Competencies

  • High creative taste — understands what makes entertainment artwork feel premium, clickable, and emotionally compelling.
  • Ownership — treats every public-facing visual as a reflection of the company’s standard.
  • Customer focus — designs for the audience’s decision moment: what makes someone stop, click, watch, subscribe, or share.
  • Invent and simplify — uses templates, AI workflows, and design systems to make high-quality output repeatable.
  • Bias for action — can move quickly without letting speed become an excuse for weak creative.
  • Dive deep — studies performance data, platform behavior, and audience response to improve creative decisions.
  • Earns trust — collaborates well with marketing, content, distribution, sponsors, and external partners.
  • Attention to detail — catches bad crops, poor typography, incorrect specs, spelling errors, and visual inconsistencies before they go public.
  • Cultural fluency — understands Caribbean visual language, diaspora audiences, and the difference between authentic and generic representation.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Key art improvement: priority catalogue titles receive upgraded, platform-ready key art within agreed timelines.
  • Creative consistency: all major social, email, platform, and partner-facing graphics follow Pavilion’s visual standards.
  • Asset delivery: campaign and partner assets are delivered on time, in correct formats, and with minimal rework.
  • Performance lift: improved thumbnails, key art, and campaign graphics contribute to higher click-through, watch starts, email engagement, and title discovery.
  • Template adoption: reusable templates and design systems reduce turnaround time for recurring creative needs.
  • Quality control: zero avoidable public errors in spelling, formatting, brand usage, specs, or incorrect artwork.
  • Partner satisfaction: sponsor, distributor, and Pavilion Services partner assets are delivered to a high execution standard.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years in creative direction, entertainment design, digital design, brand design, or campaign creative.
  • Strong portfolio showing premium key art, social graphics, campaign visuals, thumbnails, pitch materials, or entertainment marketing assets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or After Effects.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI creative tools for image generation, image editing, upscaling, background extension, and concept development.
  • Experience designing for multiple formats, including mobile, social, YouTube, email, web, pitch decks, and partner platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of typography, composition, colour, visual hierarchy, and image retouching.
  • Strong file organization and version-control discipline.
  • Ability to work quickly across multiple projects while maintaining a premium standard.

Preferred

  • Experience designing key art, thumbnails, or campaign assets for a streamer, broadcaster, film distributor, music label, production company, or entertainment brand.
  • Experience creating co-branded sponsor or partner campaign assets.
  • Familiarity with AVOD, FAST, SVOD, YouTube, and social-first content environments.
  • Motion graphics or light video editing capability.
  • Experience building brand guidelines or design systems.
  • Familiarity with Caribbean culture, entertainment, fashion, music, Carnival, and diaspora audiences.
