Henricks Custom Suits is looking for a confident, professional part-time Custom Clothing Stylist and Sales Associate for our Pleasanton location inside Stoneridge Shopping Center.
This is not a temporary or seasonal retail position. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the custom-clothing business and grow into a skilled menswear stylist.
You will be trained to assist customers with custom suits, wedding attire, shirts, trousers, sport coats, shoes, fabrics, colors, fit, and styling. Over time, the right person will learn how to conduct customer consultations, take measurements, manage orders, and build long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome customers and confidently begin conversations
- Help customers select suits, shirts, fabrics, colors, and accessories
- Learn custom-clothing measurements and fitting procedures
- Assist with appointments, order entry, customer follow-up, and pickups
- Maintain a professional, organized, luxury retail environment
- Build relationships with wedding clients and returning customers
- Help meet individual and store sales goals
What we are looking for:
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Confidence discussing purchases of $1,000 or more
- Professional appearance and dependable attendance
- Comfortable approaching customers and asking for the sale
- Genuine interest in menswear, fashion, styling, or luxury retail
- Reliable transportation to Stoneridge Shopping Center
- Saturday and weekend availability
- Willingness to learn measurements, fabrics, fit, and custom clothing
- Available for long-term employment, not only summer work
Previous menswear, luxury retail, commission sales, jewelry, automotive, furniture, hospitality, or other relationship-based sales experience is helpful. Custom-suit experience is not required. We will train the right person.
Schedule:
Approximately 24 hours per week. Weekend availability is required.
Compensation:
$20.00 to $22.00 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for sales incentives and advancement.
This position is a good fit for someone who wants more than a basic retail job and is interested in becoming a professional custom-clothing stylist.
