About the Role

At Massimo Dutti, we are looking for a Department Manager to lead a department within the store, ensuring strong commercial performance, excellent customer service and effective team management, while supporting the overall store operation.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of your department, guaranteeing that customer experience, product performance and team organization are aligned with the brand’s standards and commercial objectives. You will act as a key support to the Store Director, contributing to the smooth operation of the store.

Your role

As Department Manager, you will lead by example on the shop floor, ensuring that customer service standards are consistently met and that your team actively works to build customer loyalty. You will manage the commercial performance of your department by analyzing sales reports, KPIs and product behavior, turning insights into actions and following up on results while ensuring your team is well trained and informed.

You will ensure optimal product management within your department, from stock flow and replenishment to product availability and rotation, working closely with operations teams and using the company’s digital tools. You will also guarantee that visual and image standards are correctly applied, optimizing product presentation in collaboration with image and store management teams to maximize sales impact.

A key part of your role will be managing and developing your team. You will organize schedules efficiently, oversee administrative processes, support recruitment and onboarding, and ensure continuous training, feedback and compliance with HR, security and risk prevention policies. In addition, you will ensure the correct execution of cash operations, department maintenance and the consistent application of the brand’s corporate image.
