Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Manager for our Massimo Dutti store. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and managing the team in line with brand policies. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Store Manager to execute strategies aimed at boosting sales, improving stock management, and maintaining store visual standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Customer Care

Ensure the team works according to Massimo Dutti’s Customer Care policies, making necessary decisions to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Sales Performance

Analyze and monitor the store’s sales budget, working with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies for improvement.

Sales Growth & Profit Maximization

Collaborate with the Store Manager to increase sales and maximize store profit while monitoring offline and online sales performance.

Inventory & Stock Management

Ensure compliance with inventory controls and shrinkage policies. Manage stock in the store and stockroom, ensuring optimal stock levels and the accurate adjustment of inventory via store sweeps and RFID technology.

Visual Merchandising & Store Image

Ensure that the internal and external store image aligns with Massimo Dutti’s visual merchandising guidelines, optimizing space and furniture to enhance sales potential.

Product Knowledge & Trends

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in fashion, home, and lifestyle, tracking competitor activities and utilizing social media to keep informed about new products.

Feedback & Communication

Provide weekly product feedback to the product manager to optimize in-store stock levels. Maintain consistent communication with the area, chain, and international operations managers to improve store performance.

KPI & Performance Management

Analyze and develop strategies based on key performance indicators (KPIs), including conversion rate, average ticket value, units per ticket, and customer traffic. Work with the team to establish action plans for improvement.

Online Sales & Operations

Monitor and oversee online sales operations, including SINT, IPOD sales, online orders, inventories, store transfers, and returns of defective products.

Compliance & Policies

Ensure adherence to all operational, health, and safety policies (OHS) and ensure the team follows company policies, including till processes and customer care standards.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the fashion industry

Strong understanding of customer care and sales management strategies

Ability to analyze and interpret sales data to drive performance improvements

Exceptional leadership and communication skills

Familiarity with stock management systems and visual merchandising guidelines

Knowledge of online sales platforms and inventory management tools

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a dynamic team

Familiarity with OHS policies and retail operational procedures
