3.1 Phillip Lim is searching for an Assistant Designer, to join their team in the New York City office.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in designing seasonal collections that align with the brand vision.
- Contribute to visual and garment research to inspire new concepts.
- Create and update technical sketches and color up CADs using Adobe Illustrator.
- Create and maintain seasonal style boards and design decks.
- Assist in sourcing and developing materials and trims.
- Work closely with senior designer to develop seasonal swatches, embellishments, and print ideas.
- Work with technical design and product teams to work on development process, and support the design team with administrative and organizational tasks throughout the product development cycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in women’s fashion design, preferably in the luxury or contemporary market.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent sketching, technical drawing, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrication, and luxury materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for luxury fashion, craftsmanship, and elevated design.
