The Opportunity
As a Design Assistant, you will work alongside our Course Leads to support learners through creative projects, studio-based learning, enterprise activities, and industry-inspired experiences.
This role sits at the heart of the learner experience.
You will help learners:
- Develop their own ideas and creative concepts
- Build design and technical skills
- Gain confidence in their abilities
- Strengthen independence and resilience
- Create work they are genuinely proud of
- Progress towards employment, enterprise, and adult life
You will also help create studios that are:
- Inspiring
- Structured
- Creative
- Professional
- Calm and purposeful
This role is about far more than supporting sessions.
It is about helping young people discover what they are capable of.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting learners during creative and practical studio activities
- Helping learners develop their own designs, products, and projects
- Supporting project delivery from concept through to final outcomes
- Creating and adapting learner resources
- Applying inclusive approaches to support individual learner needs
- Supporting learners with Adobe Creative Cloud and other creative tools
- Assisting with exhibitions, showcases, enterprise projects, and production activities
- Maintaining organised, professional, and engaging studio environments
- Supporting learner progress, portfolios, and project outcomes
