We’re hiring: Design Assistant @ NIA
NIA is looking for a Design Assistant to support our growing team. This role is ideal for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and excited to be hands-on in the design and development process of a fast-moving fashion brand.
Responsibilities:
- Support the design team across all stages of development, from concept to production
- Assist with sketching, tech packs, and updating design files
- Organize and maintain fabric, trim, and sample libraries
- Track samples, shipments, and development timelines
- Prepare materials for fittings, meetings, and photoshoots
- Conduct market research and trend analysis
- Help ensure product aligns with brand aesthetic and quality standards
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience in fashion design or internships in a similar role
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for contemporary fashion and strong understanding of trends
- Based in Los Angeles (in-office role)
Bonus:
- Experience with tech packs and garment construction
- Familiarity with ERP systems
