KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research global markets in order to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, product categories and competitive inspiration.

Develop sketches and CAD’s for product line

Develop strong internal cross functional relationships with Merchandising, Production, Technical design and Production to follow up and development of new silhouettes, fabrics/trims.

Partner with PD and Tech Design to create basic BOM’s and communicate vision behind fit and product design, ensuring execution and quality.

Able to communicate difficult concepts in a simple manner

Assist with live model fittings with Technical Designer, Designer to evaluate the fit and communicate solutions to cross functional partners.

Responsible for sketch callouts and communicating desired fit and aesthetic to tech design and maintaining sketch updates and specifications (i.e. trims, wash, etc.)

Manage and adhere to TnA calendar for Design team, across multiple seasons while staying consistent with design direction and timelines.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Product Development, or Apparel Design related field

3-5 years of work experience in Fashion Design

Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the ability to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track development deadlines

Possess an elevated sense of style, aesthetic, and color and understand how to translate trends through the lens of the customer and brand filter

Thorough knowledge of silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, color use, sewing techniques, and trim; applied knowledge of garment construction methods to design process.

Advanced computer skills including experience using Microsoft suite, Adobe suite

Computer sketching using CAD skills including Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, hand sketching, flat sketching

Present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner

Experience at luxury or contemporary brand
