About This Role:
At Honeylove, you are responsible for supporting the Sr Director of Design with the development of various products with the focus on intimate apparel and sports. This role requires a proactive approach in ensuring all supporting style’s in development are attended to on a priority basis, The role will require problem solving design construction, picking out materials, and collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure styles you are assigned to support on, are moving in a timely manner.
The role periodically may also require handling the design team’s administrative duties, listed but not limited to the one’s called out below.
Suitable candidate will possess strong creative design language, organization skills, a solution oriented mindset and ability to carry out timely communication, and work with competing priorities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Report into Sr Director of Design
- Be a strong communicator, willing to recognize urgency, and respond to all communications in a time efficient manner. Be available when needed to pick up any last minute priority tasks.
- A team player who is innovative, willing to think outside the box, and can help manage and provide the day to day support required for styles to move in a timely manner
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, with a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, strong sense of urgency, and a collaborative mindset
- Willing to proactively problem-solve. Capable of managing ambiguity, and coming up with solutions to help support the styles as needed.
- Collaborate with the CEO, Sr Design Director, and cross-functional team members to build brand specific products that meet Honeylove’s aesthetic.
- Ability to take detailed feedback and work through growth areas as discussed on a quarterly basis
- Management of design samples, building out physical binders to catalog and manage all design materials as needed, helping with all other ad hoc tasks that are required to keep a smooth flow of work. Willingness to accept and adapt to changing work environment, processes or duties.
- Require experience and understanding with Intimates and Knitwear fabrications, trims, and constructions
- Prepare development packages and participate in communication and follow up related to each package in partnership with the Product Development Team
- This job is focused on garment construction details built out in illustrator, & implemented in PLM
- Build out initial development tech packs in collaboration with the design director
- Work alongside Design & Product Development team to track and manage style development from concept through to completion
- Collaborate with Tech Design while participating in fittings up to Design Intent
Qualifications:
- Experience with knits & intimates
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent industry experience, 3-5 years experience.
- Must have strong design aesthetic and conceptual skills
- A mindful and efficient communicator
- Ability to work with Adobe suite, especially illustrator; PLM; & Microsoft Suite
- Garment construction knowledge required
- Flexibility to adapt well to a fast paced, rapidly changing work environment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $64,243.41 – $110,000.00 per year
