Role Description
YOLO Luxury Consignment is seeking a Digital Marketing Intern to complete a structured, hands-on learning experience focused on Pinterest and Reddit.
The intern will learn how an e-commerce brand researches audiences, develops platform-specific content, participates appropriately in online communities and uses performance data to improve its digital strategy.
This is an educational internship with defined learning objectives, regular supervision, feedback and an end-of-term portfolio project. The intern will work approximately 8–10 hours per week through December 2026, with scheduled remote meetings and some independent project work.
What You’ll Learn and Work On
- Research Pinterest keywords, search trends and seasonal content opportunities
- Learn how Pinterest functions as a visual search and discovery platform
- Help develop Pinterest boards, content themes and editorial recommendations
- Draft optimized pin titles, descriptions and supporting copy
- Create visually engaging draft pins using approved YOLO brand guidelines
- Research relevant Reddit communities, conversations and emerging consumer trends
- Study individual subreddit rules and appropriate brand-participation practices
- Draft helpful, transparent Reddit responses and discussion ideas for review
- Monitor topics related to designer handbags, luxury resale, authentication, sustainable fashion and reusable totes
- Review basic performance metrics and identify patterns in reach, engagement and referral activity
- Contribute insights to a monthly platform-performance report
- Complete an end-of-term Pinterest and Reddit strategy presentation suitable for an academic or professional portfolio
The intern will never be asked to pose as a customer, publish fake reviews, conceal their connection to YOLO, spam communities or violate Pinterest, Reddit or individual subreddit rules.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program in marketing, communications, business, fashion, e-commerce, journalism or a related field
- Strong written communication, research and organizational skills
- Interest in social-media marketing, digital strategy or online community building
- Interest in luxury fashion, resale, sustainability and visual storytelling
- Ability to receive feedback and thoughtfully apply it
- Attention to detail and ability to meet agreed-upon project deadlines
- Basic familiarity with Canva, Adobe Express or a similar design platform is strongly preferred
- Coursework or introductory experience in digital marketing, social-media analytics, SEO or web analytics is helpful but not required
- Familiarity with Pinterest or Reddit is required
Internship Structure
- August through December 2026
- Approximately 8–10 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling coordinated around academic and other commitments
- Regular instruction, supervision and feedback
- Defined learning objectives and project milestones
- Midpoint and final evaluations
- Hour tracking and school documentation provided if/when required
- No promise or expectation of employment after the internship
Compensation and/or Academic Credit
This is an unpaid educational internship. Academic credit may be available, subject to approval and award by the student’s college or university.
YOLO Luxury Consignment is willing to coordinate with an approved faculty member or internship advisor, complete reasonable school paperwork, verify internship hours and provide required evaluations. Students seeking academic credit must confirm their eligibility and obtain approval from their institution before the internship begins.
