About the Role
We’re seeking a Director of Communications & Culture to define how a global fashion brand shows up across markets, communities, and cultural conversations. This role blends communications strategy with cultural intelligence — ensuring the brand remains modern, relevant, and connected to the diverse audiences it serves worldwide.
You will shape the brand’s voice across press, cultural moments, talent relationships, and editorial storytelling, championing a narrative rooted in contemporary design: clarity, structure, elevated simplicity, and a global point of view. This role requires a communicator who can translate design‑driven values into messaging that feels architectural, intentional, and aligned across regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead global communications strategy across editorial, press, cultural partnerships, and talent engagement supporting SVP of Communications
- Build and nurture relationships with editors, stylists, cultural leaders, and strategic partners across key international markets
- Develop narratives that position the brand within culture — highlighting innovation, design, and modern relevance
- Oversee press moments, announcements, interviews, and brand storytelling across global channels
- Partner with Brand, Creative, Retail, and Influencer teams to ensure unified messaging across regions
- Identify cultural opportunities, emerging voices, and strategic placements that reinforce the brand’s global identity
- Manage crisis communications and reputation strategy with clarity and consistency
- Ensure all communications reflect the brand’s aesthetic: modern, functional, minimal, and globally minded
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of experience in communications, PR, or cultural strategy
- Demonstrated experience leading high‑performing teams with clarity, calm, and a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong editorial network and deep understanding of global cultural trends
- Proven experience shaping brand narratives for fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands
- Experience managing multiple external stakeholders while maintaining consistency and harmony across all outputs
- Exceptional writing, storytelling, and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving, international environment
- Travel expectations globally when needed
