Our client, a Digitally Native Womens fashion lifestyle brand, is seeking a dynamic experienced Director of Digital Merchandising to bring their learned experience in creating a new role as their business needs are growing. This position will play a crucial role in driving the online merchandising strategy and influencing the way customers shop. Reporting to the VP of Digital Experience, this role is a unique opportunity to merge a love of product, data, and the customer experience. The position can be remote but must work East Coast time zone work hours and be available to travel to the headquarters in Florida. Candidates with Shopify will be favorably viewed.

The salary range for this role is $140-175k based on years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

Manage product assortments and site merchandising strategies at PDP, PLP, and navigational levels for DTC website, app, and wholesale site.

Use data and customer behavior insights to build out product categorization, taxonomy, and navigation hierarchy and ensure they are all working together to drive a best-in-class shopping experience.

Support product content strategy, in partnership with the Buying, Marketing and Creative teams, with the overall goal of strategically enhancing content on top product formats and improving related metrics.

Analyze and synthesize data related to customer interactions with products and other site content with the overall goal of unlocking insights that improve metrics (e.g., bounce rate, add to cart, conversion rate, etc.).

Evaluate customer shopping paths and understand user behavior by cohort, product performance, and merchandising data to drive impact.

Set up, analyze, and optimize heatmapping and funnels to gain insights and action on data based on user journeys and friction points.

Establish KPIs and develop site merchandising dashboards to build out reporting, providing top level insights to leadership team.

Optimize product recommendations and upsells on PDPs and in cart to positively affect AOV.

Analyze and own site search and collection filtration to ease the shopping experience and improve conversion.

Conduct A/B testing to gain insights and execute on the results.

Implement site personalization efforts based on customer segments and user groups.

Own a holistic site merchandising strategy led with data and the customer experience at the core.

Work cross-functionally with Buying, Marketing, and Creative teams to understand the timing of new products and categories launching. Plan and execute product and category launches. Ensure products are mapped to all relevant pages on site and can be easily discovered.

Use data to regularly optimize site navigation to best represent our full breadth of assortment in a way that drives high customer engagement and revenue/click.

Work cross-functionally to execute curated landing pages to support major campaigns (Holiday Gifting, Holiday events, etc.). Maintain these pages throughout campaign life and optimize based on mid-campaign performance.

Review data weekly and on an ad hoc basis to understand performance of site merchandising tactics and continuously find opportunities to improve metrics.

Develop regular site auditing process to identify issues and work with appropriate teams to have them resolved quickly.
