The Director of Product is a key leader responsible for defining and executing the product vision and strategy at our confidential jewelry client. This role oversees all aspects of the product lifecycle, from ideation and design to development, launch, and ongoing optimization. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and experienced product leader with a strong understanding of the jewelry and accessories market, a data-driven mindset, and a deep commitment to creating exceptional products that resonate with our customers and embody the brand.

Duties + Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision:

Develop and articulate a compelling product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and brand identity.

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify opportunities for new products and product enhancements.

Define product roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and manage the product backlog.

Product Development & Execution:

Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.

Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, and production teams to bring product ideas to life.

Establish clear product requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.

Manage product budgets and timelines effectively.

Market Analysis & Customer Insights:

Continuously monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.

Utilize data analytics and customer feedback to inform product decisions and identify areas for improvement.

Conduct user testing and gather feedback to validate product concepts and ensure customer satisfaction.

Product Marketing & Launch:

Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective product launch strategies and go-to-market plans.

Ensure clear and compelling product messaging and positioning.

Monitor product performance post-launch and identify opportunities for optimization.

Team Leadership & Development:

Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

Recruit, hire, and onboard top talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive team.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments, such as operations, marketing, sales, and finance, to ensure seamless collaboration and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications + Abilities

Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in product management within a fast-paced, direct-to-consumer environment, ideally in the jewelry, accessories, or fashion industry.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams. Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the jewelry and accessories market, including trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.

Customer Focus: Deeply customer-centric with a passion for creating products that resonate with target audiences.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product management software and tools.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, plan for future product development, and adapt to a changing market environment.
