Director, Wholesale & Business DevelopmentAs the Director of Wholesale & Business Development you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive wholesale revenue and maximize profitability. You will develop relationships with key wholesale clients and collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets in both full price and off-price channels

Responsible for driving strategic initiatives to expand our presence, increase market share, and optimize revenue streams

Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth

Evaluate and adjust sales strategies as needed to adapt to changing market conditions

Collaborate with internal teams such as merchandising, production, marketing, operations and finance to ensure alignment and support for wholesale sales initiatives

Minimize liabilities for the corporation by monitoring confirmations, and managing a clear markdown strategy

Maximize profitability while minimizing RTV and Chargeback risk.

Receive weekly sales/stock information from accounts, and perform weekly analysis of by style/by door selling

Coordinate product launches, promotions, and inventory management to meet customer demand and maximize sales opportunities

Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale customers

Maintain order changes, substitutions, confirmations, and shipping status/order tracking for accounts

Understand customer needs and objectives to provide solutions and enhance customer satisfaction

Define differentiated merchandise strategies amongst key accounts

Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management to provide insights into sales performance and strategic recommendations

Manage seasonal markets

Qualifications

Proven experience (8+ years) in wholesale sales development & management, with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels

Proficient at retail math and planning

Proficiency in sales analytics tools and Microsoft Office Suite

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Club Monaco includes a reasonable estimate of the salary or hourly rate range for this role. This accounts for the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications.

A reasonable estimate of the current base is $130k to $140k annually.
