Job Highlights
Contract type: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Mountain Time with an 1-hour unpaid break
Direct reporting to the business owner
Potential for expanded responsibilities as the business grows
Adapt to seasonal fluctuations in workload, particularly during peak periods for pet product sales
Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize a high volume of daily emails (approximately 200 per day)
Process and enter customer orders into the company system
Monitor package deliveries and track shipments through UPS and other carriers
Assist with resolving customs issues for international orders
Liaise with the third-party logistics (3PL) provider to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Engage with customers via email and chat interfaces
Provide general administrative support to the business owner
Monitor and update various online systems and software platforms
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Excel/data management proficiency
Intermediate or higher understanding of excel and its functions, including multi-criteria index-match, nested sum ifs and if statements, etc. used to reference data reports and consolidate them into a useable sheet
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
Proficiency in using various software systems and willingness to learn new platforms
Experience with e-commerce operations or order processing is preferred
Familiarity with international shipping processes and customs documentation is a plus
Ability to work independently and proactively solve problems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Customer service-oriented mindset
Comfortable working with pet-related products and understanding the needs of pet owners
