POSITION SUMMARY-
New Balance Korea is launching its ecommerce business to deliver a premium digital experience to Korean consumers. The E-Marketplace Specialist is responsible for managing marketplace business operations and driving growth through strategic planning and execution. This role oversees day-to-day activities, reporting, and ecosystem monitoring to ensure brand health and compliance while supporting IT projects and cross-functional collaboration. By aligning marketplace initiatives with seasonal strategies and commercial targets, the specialist ensures seamless execution and maximizes sales impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketplace Business Management
- Manage and optimize e-marketplace to maximize brand presence and sales revenue.
- Manage relationships with e-marketplace channel stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships.
- Maximize brand vitality and visibility by strategically curating well-established campaigns to secure consistent selection for platform-featured content (Magazine)
- Plan a seamless commercial calendar by aligning internal product and marketing strategies with the platform's campaign roadmap to ensure synchronized execution
- Plan, strategize, and execute e-marketplace business initiatives based on seasonal product strategy, promotional calendar, and commercial targets.
- Operate under consignment models to maximize sales impact and profitability.
Merchandising Planning
- Ability to analyze and anticipate rapidly evolving fashion and sports trends to develop differentiated buying strategies tailored for marketplace-specific consumers
- Translate sales performance data into strategic action plans to drive real-time platform enhancements and conversion growth
Marketplace Operations
- Manage and execute day-to-day activities in marketplace integrator and third-party admin site including product catalog setup and inventory management
- Optimize PLP/PDP through continuous monitoring to enhance customer engagement and conversion metrics.
- Develop and execute monthly launch plans by aligning product assortments with seasonal search trends on Musinsa and 29CM to optimize PLP conversion and minimize bounce rates.
Reporting & Monitoring
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on e-marketplace KPIs.
- Conduct competitive analysis and trend monitoring to identify market opportunities and risks.
- Monitor the e-marketplace ecosystem to maintain brand health, including counterfeit detection and prevention.
IT / Project Management
- Initiate and support business launch projects, including marketplace integrator implementation.
- Collaborate with IT and customer service teams to troubleshoot site-related issues and drive enhancements for improved functionality and customer experience.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams (marketing, operation, merchandising) to achieve business objectives and ensure seamless execution of marketplace strategies.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
- 4 to 6 years of experience in retail ecommerce, ecommerce operation or related fields.
- Strong understanding of e-marketplace landscape and operation details
- Familiarity with marketplace platforms, integrator tools, analytics concepts commonly used in the market.
- Comfortable working in English (business-level fluency) and collaborating cross-functionally
