About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive E-Commerce Photography Assistant to join our growing team. This is a full-time, in-office position and requires daily on-site attendance. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

This role is critical to supporting the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce photography studio and ensuring products are photographed, organized, and published efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys creating order from chaos, and takes pride in keeping products, workflows, and digital assets organized and accurate.

This is not a role for someone seeking a slow-paced or highly structured day. E-commerce moves quickly, priorities shift often, and deadlines are non-negotiable. The successful candidate will be adaptable, resourceful, and able to maintain exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple moving pieces simultaneously.

ResponsibilitiesPhotography & Studio Support

  • Assist with daily product photography shoots for website, email marketing, marketplaces, and social media.
  • Prepare products for photography by steaming, cleaning, styling, and organizing merchandise.
  • Ensure products are photographed accurately and consistently according to brand standards.
  • Assist with photography equipment setup, lighting adjustments, backdrops, and studio organization.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient studio environment at all times.

Product & Inventory Management

  • Receive, organize, and track incoming product samples.
  • Coordinate product flow between merchandising, marketing, warehouse, and creative teams.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of products scheduled for photography.
  • Ensure products are readily available for shoots and returned to the appropriate department upon completion.
  • Monitor sample inventory and proactively identify missing or misplaced items.

Digital Asset Management

  • Review images for quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Assist with basic image editing, cropping, and file management.
  • Organize and upload digital assets according to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate file naming conventions and organized digital libraries.
  • Ensure all photography assets are properly archived and easily accessible.

General Operations

  • Help the team meet aggressive production schedules and launch deadlines.
  • Support seasonal launches, promotional campaigns, and special projects.
  • Monitor studio supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Assist wherever needed to ensure projects stay on track and deadlines are met.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in photography, e-commerce, retail, fashion, jewelry, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with DSLR cameras, photography equipment, and studio lighting is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar software preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling merchandise throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift and move products and boxes up to 30 pounds.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site full-time.
