This role is hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 remote in NYC. Role could go perm should it be a good fit.

Reports into: VP of Ecommerce

Job Description

The Ecommerce Strategist role assist and support the Digital team in the day to day running of digital marketing channels, inclusive of preparing reports and ad hoc projects. This individual will sit at the intersection of data, merchandising, and marketing—translating performance into insight, and insight into action.

Responsibilities

  • Performance & Reporting
  • Own weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting across ecommerce KPIs (revenue, conversion rate, AOV, traffic, return rate)
  • Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting frameworks
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for cross-functional stakeholders
  • Digital Marketing & Acquisition Analytics
  • Analyze channel performance across paid media, email, affiliate, and organic channels
  • Partner with marketing teams to optimize spend, improve ROAS, and identify growth opportunities
  • Evaluate cross-channel attribution and customer acquisition efficiency
  • Merchandising & Product Insights
  • Partner with merchandising to analyze product performance, sell-through, and assortment productivity
  • Identify opportunities related to pricing, inventory flow, and product positioning
  • Monitor full-price vs. promotional performance and margin impact
  • Analyze site merchandising across navigation and landing page performance
  • Customer & Conversion Optimization
  • Analyze onsite behavior, funnel performance, and conversion drivers
  • Support A/B testing initiatives and personalization strategies
  • Identify friction points in the customer journey and recommend improvements
  • Returns & Profitability
  • Monitor and analyze return behavior, identifying key drivers and opportunities to reduce return rate
  • Evaluate the financial impact of returns, promotions, and discounting on net revenue
  • Tools & Data Management
  • Work across platforms such as Google Analytics, Shopify, BI tools (e.g., 42 Technologies), and marketing platforms
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems
  • Support implementation of new tools and analytics capabilities
  • Constantly monitor and and review all ad campaigns to help optimize performance
  • Assist with project management functions relating to launching new channels
  • Email setup support to ensure a seamless experience and test new campaign ideas
  • Monitor competitive landscape and assist in pitching new opportunities
  • Adhoc tasks as needed by the Digital Team

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years’ experience would could include prior internship or work experience in E-Commerce, Digital Marketing
  • Exceptional attention to detail and process-obsessed
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be open to change
  • Proficiency in Excel, with knowledge of V-Look Up and building Pivot Tables
  • Understanding of website and digital KPIs or retail math concepts
