- The label works across custom design, ready-to-wear, and traditional wedding dressing within a single house, with an emphasis on craftsmanship and precise construction.
The Role
- A two-year role as Executive Assistant to Danielle Frankel Hirsch, founder and creative director.
- The position requires a candidate who can manage a demanding calendar and operate with executive presence.
- The work is approximately 70% business support and 30% personal support, and the two are closely connected.
- The primary objective is to become the authority on Danielle’s time: to understand how she works,protect her calendar, and ensure her days run without friction.
- The role creates efficiencies across the company and facilitates communication from Danielle to internal teams and external partners.
- Within the first three months, the Executive Assistant is expected to become a trusted and dependable source of support for the creative director.
- Over two years, the Executive Assistant will develop the judgment and standing to carry out these responsibilities with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
Calendar and Scheduling
- Manage Danielle’s calendar on a daily basis, consolidating professional and personal commitments into a single schedule.
- Triage meeting requests from internal team members, clients, press, partners, andpersonal contacts, and determine priority.
- Apply sound judgment to when time should be held, rescheduled, or declined. Manage transitions throughout the day, including travel time between locations.
Communications
- Read, triage, and prioritize the inbox, escalating only matters that require Danielle’s attention.
- Draft correspondence in Danielle’s voice, with careful attention to tone.
- Manage communications with VIP clients, press, and partners with discretion and professionalism.
- Act as a liaison with the atelier and external partners.
Travel
- Book domestic and international travel, including flights, ground transportation, hotels, and reservations.
- Prepare detailed itineraries, necessary forms, and confirmations in advance.
- Resolve issues when plans change, including rebookings and the replacement of lost documents.
Anticipatory Support
- Develop a thorough understanding of recurring patterns and key relationships in order to anticipate needs.
- Ensure that the logistics surrounding events, including appointments and transportation, are arranged in advance.
- Ask the appropriate questions early so that follow-through is complete.
Personal Support (approximately 30%)
- Manage personal appointments, errands, and household coordination as needed.
- Coordinate holiday planning, personal and business gifting, and related logistics.
- Integrate personal commitments into the work calendar without conflict.
Administrative and Financial
- Manage expense reporting and allocate charges appropriately between personal and business categories.
- Handle forms, applications, and administrative paperwork.
- Maintain confidentiality across all sensitive matters without exception.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing a complex, high-volume calendar. This is central to the role.
- Executive presence, with the composure and credibility to represent Danielle to senior contacts, clients, and partners.
- Prior experience supporting a founder, executive, or principal, preferably in a fast-paced, high-standards environment.
- A proactive problem solver who takes ownership of tasks and sees them through to completion.
- A fast learner who takes initiative in building their own understanding of the role and the business.
- Resourceful and self-sufficient, able to source answers and resolve questions independently and to involve Danielle only when necessary.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong command of email, calendar, and the systems required to keep a principal organized.
- Discretion and trustworthiness with confidential matters.
- An interest in fashion, design, or the creative industries is preferred.
Trajectory
- The position offers two years of close engagement with a founder and creative director, and a comprehensive view of how a fashion house operates.
- The objective is for the Executive Assistant to become the individual the company trusts with Danielle’s time, and a meaningful contributor to the studio’s efficiency.
- At the conclusion of the two years, with proven the studio will support the candidate's transition into an appropriate next role
- The position is intended as a deliberate investment in the candidate’s development and trajectory.
