Job Context:
The Young Professional Fabric Planning will support the Fabric Planning team in ensuring timely availability of greige and finished fabric as per production requirement. The role involves assisting in fabric booking, production follow-up, inventory monitoring, and coordination with mills, dyeing/finishing units, and merchandising teams to ensure smooth material flow and on time delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing fabric production plan based on order requirements and delivery schedules.
- Follow up with knitting, dyeing, and finishing units to ensure timely fabric production.
- Monitor fabric availability (greige, dyed, finished) against production demand.
- Maintain and update fabric status reports and booking records.
- Coordinate with merchandising, production, and store teams for fabric requirement alignment.
- Track fabric TNA (Time & Action plan) and highlight delays or risks.
- Assist in inventory control of fabric (stock, WIP, incoming, issued).
- Support in ensuring correct shade, quality, and quantity compliance as per requirement.
- Prepare daily/weekly reports on fabric production and delivery status.
- Communicate with suppliers/mills for order follow-up and issue resolution.
Required Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in Textile engineering/ any other relevant field.
Required Experience:
- 0-2 years years of experiences.
- Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent team management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work across multiple functions within the organization to deliver phenomenal product and service to customers to meet assigned KPI’s and organizations long terms objectives.
- Good command on English communication (verbal & written).
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, & PowerPoint).
- Ability to convert challenges to opportunities and deliver projects assigned under tight deadlines as per business needs.
