We are seeking a talented and passionate Experienced Custom Tailor specializing in prom and bridal wear to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, measurements, and specific needs for prom or bridal gowns
- Cut, sew, and assemble garments using professional sewing machines and traditional tailoring techniques
- Make precise alterations and fittings to achieve the perfect fit for each client
- Ensure high-quality garment construction by paying close attention to detail and finishing touches
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including fabric inventory and sewing tools
- Communicate effectively with clients throughout the process to update on progress and incorporate feedback
- Follow all safety protocols related to sewing equipment and garment handling
Requirements
- Proven experience as a custom tailor or seamstress specializing in prom or bridal wear
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric properties
- Proficiency with sewing machines and hand-sewing tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interpret client requests clearly
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, pattern adjustments, and fabric estimations
- Familiarity with fashion retail environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Attention to detail, precision, and a passion for creating high-quality garments
