We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Experienced Seamstress / Tailor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bring garments to life through expert sewing, garment construction, and tailoring skills. Responsibilities
- Interpret design sketches, patterns, and customer specifications to create or alter garments with precision and care
- Operate sewing machines efficiently, ensuring consistent stitch quality and durability across all projects
- Construct garments from start to finish, including cutting fabric, sewing seams, fitting, and finishing details
- Perform fittings with customers to ensure optimal fit and comfort, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained
- Communicate clearly with customers about project timelines, options, and any necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor in a retail or custom tailoring environment
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation
- Ability to read and interpret patterns, measurements, and technical drawings accurately
- Excellent sewing skills including hand stitching, machine sewing, hemming, and finishing techniques
- Familiarity with basic math for measurements, pattern adjustments, and fabric calculations
- Experience working within fashion retail settings is highly desirable
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally

Manee’s Tailoring in Redmill Commons is looking for an experienced seamstress / tailor for full time employment. This job is commission based, meaning you can make as much as you want depending on the workload you take. We have a strong team of experienced seamstress / tailors and are looking to hire one additional employee. We are looking for someone who has a good attitude, works well in a team, and is a reliable employee. At Manee’s, our reputation is everything and we hold ourselves highly to do a good and proper job on every item that is brought into the store.
This job is commission based.
