EXPERIENCED TAILOR WANTED — SUIT PARLOR
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tailor to join our suit parlor team. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship, and delivering an exceptional fit for every client.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in men’s suiting and alterations, with knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, fitting, and professional finishing. Experience with women’s garements is also a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform precise alterations on men’s and women’s garments
- Specialize in suit, blazer, dress shirt, and trouser alterations
- Adjust sleeves, pant length, waist, seat, taper, jacket body, and other areas for a precise fit
- Take accurate measurements and perform professional client fittings
- Perform machine and hand sewing, including detailed finishing and delicate repairs
- Cut and alter garments according to measurements and specifications
- Operate sewing and pressing equipment
- Press and finish garments to a professional, high-end standard
- Assist clients with fitting adjustments and fabric/style selections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional tailoring workspace
- Work closely with our team to complete custom alterations according to client specifications
Requirements
- Proven professional tailoring experience — required
- Strong experience with men’s suits and formalwear
- Excellent knowledge of clothing alterations and garment construction
- Skilled with sewing machines and hand sewing techniques
- Knowledge of different fabrics and proper garment handling
- Strong measurement and fitting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
- Reliable and committed to producing high-quality work

Location: Sterling Heights, Michigan
Pay $15-$25/ hourly
