Job description:
Fabric Sourcing:
Attend Trade shows, conduct mill visits and when necessary shop visits to research the latest fabric trends and newest fabric technology
Identify and establish key fabric trends for the upcoming season covering woven and jersey fabric for the products of Womens, Mens and Childrenswear in collaboration with Product Managers and Designers.
Strategically source relevant fabrics for the region collaborate on those opportunities with Product Managers, Designers and. Sales Manager.
Actively source and manage the fabric supply base and expand the respective network in BD and overseas countries to meet business requirements, including setting up new routes.
Manage and prepare key fabric trend presentations to the UK buying and design teams to promote new opportunities
Work with Product managers and Merchandise teams to review and manage target fabric prices.
Drive strategic seasonal cross costing projects on core programs
Actively manage Fabric sourcing critical path to meet key deadlines
Manage the execution of the day to day Fabric sourcing requests for all territories from Merchandising, Product Managers, Designers and NUK teams to ensure that those requests are completed on time
Fabric Development:
Key Fabric contact person responsible to develop fabrics with Bangladesh and overseas mills based on the requirement from NEXT product teams, fabric sourcing teams and NEXT SOURCING product and design teams.
Proactively develop commercial trend fabrics
Work closely with fabric technical team to comply with NEXT requirements
Fabric Sourcing Team:
Train and Develop Direct reports in the fabric souring team to meet departmental and personal goals
Maintain well organized fabric sourcing library
