SOURCING
• Material Sourcing: Analyze the Benchmarks and all commercial trend fabric information from Mills, Trade Fairs, Garment Suppliers, Online Specialized Platforms, and identify new and commercial fabric for sourcing.
• Mills Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with mills and suppliers ensuring all compliance aspects, promoting clear communication and reliable adherence to timelines and workflow.
• Visit Regularly Mills and Suppliers show rooms to look out for fabric opportunities.
• Collaborates with “Materia Prima” Department and Buying Team in Renner Brazil Headquarter Guaranteeing flow of Communication and alignment about fabrics trend and material to source.
• Organize showroom, trims & fabrics, for the development meetings with suppliers or with Brazil in LRS office and send monthly new Fabrics Sourcing in organized way to Materia Prima Department.
• Creates and collect KPIs sourcing data.
FABRIC APPROVALS
•Material Testing & Approval: Approve lab dips, strike-offs, quality and bulk batch testing, ensuring fabrics meet physical, color fastness, and performance standards accordingly to the deadlines with fast mindset and excellence.
•Conducts Visual and physical inspections of fabric quality (e.g., hand feel, weight, shade consistency) and applies Performance Knowledge understanding the fabric properties (e.g., durability, stretch, breathability, weight) and how they perform in final garment application.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Mills, Suppliers and Merchandising Team to troubleshoot any quality issues during sourcing and production stage, ensuring final approvals meet Renner requirements.
• Create and Provide Technical Record on Control Excel sheet to ensure clear comments.
• Gives Technical Support to LRASIA team for matters related to Fabrics.
Market Research & Inspiration
• Visits to key fashion retail benchmarks and Mills/Suppliers show rooms creating Commercial Reports with Opportunities.
• Attendance at key textile trade fairs (e.g., Intertextile) and trend markets in China.
