Summary
We are seeking a skilled Seamstress or Tailor to join our team at Mister Guy. In this role, you will be responsible for altering garments to meet our clients’ specifications, ensuring every piece reflects the quality and style that defines our brand. Your contributions will enhance our customers’ experience and satisfaction. Your work will include alterations on both men’s and women’s garments.
Responsibilities
Perform alterations and repairs on garments to ensure a perfect fit for customers.
Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to create high-quality clothing items.
Collaborate with stylists to understand client needs and design specifications, including some pinning and fitting when necessary.
Maintain an organized workspace and manage materials efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their garment needs.
Stay updated on fashion trends and garment construction techniques.
Requirements
Proven experience as a seamstress/tailor in a similar role within the fashion industry.
Strong sewing skills with proficiency in using various sewing machines.
Excellent attention to detail in garment construction and alterations.
Basic math skills for measurements and fabric calculations.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with clients.
