Fashion Denim Designer Jobs in Los Angeles, CA at Fire and Rain
Job Summary:
As a Designer specializing in denim, you will work directly under the head designer for monthly product development, also work closely with production teams to ensure our denim garments meet aesthetic, fit, and quality standards . You will be responsible for overseeing sample development, and ensuring consistent garment construction and sizing. Need proficiency in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator and Excel. Must have a passion for fashion and detail oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain technical packages (tech packs) including sketches, specs, construction details, etc.
Collaborate with designers to interpret creative vision into executable denim garments.
Conduct fit sessions and provide detailed fit comments with corrections for proto, SMS, and PP samples.
Ensure consistency in grading, construction, and fit across all denim styles.
Work with our overseas office to manage sample timelines and quality standards.
Review and approve samples to meet both aesthetic and functional expectations.
Work directly under our head designer
Qualifications:
1–3+ years of technical design experience (MUST)
Strong knowledge of denim construction, wash development, and fabric behavior.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Excel
Strong ability to flat sketch or assist with technical package
Understanding of basic garment specifications, patternmaking, and grading.
Communication and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Staying up to date with Trends
Stay informed on denim trends and silhouettes
Reference and compare competitive brand fits
Maintain brand-specific fit and sizing standards

Pay: $19.00 – $25.00 per hour
