We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Sales Associates. The Sales Associates will be the face of Fashion Depot Inc., assisting customers with product selection, providing styling advice, and ensuring a memorable shopping experience. The successful candidates will have a passion for fashion, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong customer relationships. As a Sales Associate, you will contribute to achieving sales targets and promoting the brand’s image.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence:
- Welcome and engage customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Assist customers in finding the perfect clothing items, offering style advice, and ensuring their needs are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, handling transactions, and resolving concerns.
Product Knowledge and Styling:
- Develop a deep understanding of the merchandise, including features, benefits, and sizing information.
- Stay up-to-date with current fashion trends and product offerings to assist customers effectively.
Sales and Up-Selling:
- Proactively promote products and special offers to meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Use effective selling techniques to encourage customers to explore additional items and complete their purchases.
Store Operations Support:
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including organizing merchandise displays and replenishing stock as needed.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, priced, and displayed according to company guidelines.
Cash Handling and Point-of-Sale:
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the company’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and provide accurate change to customers.
Customer Relationship Building:
- Build strong and lasting customer relationships by providing personalized service and creating positive shopping experiences.
- Keep track of customer preferences and communicate with customers about new arrivals and promotions.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with fellow Sales Associates, Store Managers, and other team members to create a cohesive and supportive work environment.
Position Type
- Part-Time or Full-Time
- Hours of Operations: Monday-Friday (10AM-7PM CST), Sunday (11AM-6PM CST)
- Overtime is not expected of this position, but may be required based on operational needs
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous retail experience is a plus, but not required
- Passion for fashion and a strong interest in staying updated on current trends
- Professional appearance
- Customer-focused attitude with a positive and approachable demeanor
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Ability to stand, walk, lift and carry up to 25lbs, along with other physical demands of a retail sales associates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
